HMB Professional Engineers, LLC is seeking a Landscape Architect to join our Architecture team in Lexington, KY, with options for the Lexington or Louisville office and a hybrid work schedule.

We require a Licensed Landscape Architect in Kentucky (or reciprocity eligibility) with 6+ years of related experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential for delivering sustainable, high-quality designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Licensed Landscape Architect in Kentucky or eligible for reciprocity.
• 6+ years of experience in landscape architecture.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of landscape design, sustainability, and horticulture.

Responsibilities

• Lead in creating environmentally-conscious designs for parks, public spaces, and commercial properties.
• Develop concept plans, drawings, and presentations communicating design intent.

We are currently seeking a Landscape Architect to join the HMB team

Department: Architecture

Location: Lexington, KY

This position may be located in either the HMB Lexington or Louisville office

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in creating compelling and environmentally-conscious designs for various projects, including parks, public spaces, and commercial properties.
• Develop concept plans, design drawings, and presentations that effectively communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs adhere to local codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Oversee all phases of projects, from conceptualization to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other design disciplines to maintain open communication and ensure project requirements are met.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement necessary corrective measures.

Possess a good working knowledge of civil engineering as it relates to landscape architecture

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Licensed Landscape Architect in Kentucky or eligible for reciprocity of license in Kentucky.
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in landscape architecture, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of landscape design principles, sustainable practices, and horticulture.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks efficiently.
