Job summary

West Star Aviation seeks a Landing Gear Technician in Grandview, TX. Full-time, on-site position focusing on inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of aircraft landing gear components across models.

Requires strong manual skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in aviation/maintenance is preferred; an A&P license is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in related field (aviation or maintenance mechanic) or equivalent preferred.
• A&P Mechanic license is helpful but not required.
• Valid driver’s license ideal but not required.
• Landing Gear Overhaul/Repair experience preferred but not required.
• Previous Mechanical Experience Required.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhauls and/or repairs on a wide variety of landing gear systems.
• Troubleshoot and inspect different landing gear components.
• Utilize and learn new procedures on approved overhaul/repairs.
• Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.
• Maintain shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.
• Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
