Job summary

Republic Services in Lawrenceville, VA, is seeking a Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station. You will transfer, spread, cover, load and compact waste or soil as required, while maintaining safety standards.

You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, monitor waste quality, and complete Equipment Condition Reports. Adherence to safety policies and efficient, responsible work are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

## Landfill Heavy Equipment OperatorApplylocations: Lawrenceville, VA, USAposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-180456POSITION SUMMARY: The Operator – Heavy Equipment is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station for the purpose of transferring, spreading, covering, loading and/or compacting waste or soil in an efficient and safe manner. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean.
