Job summary

MDS Staffing in Burnsville, MN is seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead surveying teams on transportation projects for state, local government, and private clients.

You will supervise ALTA/NSPS surveys, prepare drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D, manage projects, and coordinate with clients while contributing to proposals and budgets. A Bachelor's degree and LSIT are required, with MN PLS within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field required.
• LSIT certification with ability to obtain MN PLS within 12 months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and surveying software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, subdivisions, and related surveys.
• Prepare survey drawings and descriptions using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Coordinate and manage multiple survey projects; interact with clients regularly.

Job description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to work with multi-disciplinary teams on State, Local Government, and private projects, primarily in the transportation arena.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supervise and review work on ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys; Boundary and Topographic Surveys; Subdivision Plats; Right-of-Way Plats, Property Descriptions; As-built Surveys, and a variety of other types of surveys.
• Prepare survey drawings and descriptions utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related software packages.
• Management and coordination of numerous internal and external survey projects, simultaneously, and interaction with clients on a regular basis.
• Providing direct supervision, scheduling staff, and performing quality control.
• Communicates and coordinates schedules with clients and project team.
• Monitors teams work and progress.
• Prepare and assist in preparing proposals and budgets for projects.
• Assist in business and client development.
