Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator (Land Survey) to support boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, providing accurate data and technical expertise to inform project decisions.

You'll work with Crew Leader and teams, plan field activities using GPS/GNSS, RTK, total stations, and other methods, travel as needed, and help maintain survey control networks and quality standards across infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in land surveying, geomatics or related discipline.
• Ability to interpret survey records, legal descriptions and plans.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel as required by project needs.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary, topographic, right-of-way, construction and as-built surveys as directed by Crew Leader.
• Plan and coordinate field activities using GPS/GNSS, RTK, total stations, digital levels, laser scanning and conventional survey methods.
• Develop and maintain survey control networks and perform coordinate geometry calculations.
• Help maintain quality standards, project schedules and client requirements.
• Follow safety procedures and support a strong culture of health and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
