Job summary

AES is seeking a landscaping and land maintenance professional to support the safe operation of a utility solar plant in Locust Grove, GA. The role focuses on vegetation control, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with contractors and on-site teams.

You will operate mowers/tractors, perform area clean-up, and assist with pond and waterway maintenance while following strict environmental and safety guidelines. Compensation includes benefits and annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in land maintenance and vegetation control.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment and mowers.
• Knowledge of safety practices and PPE usage.
• Ability to follow environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supports safe and reliable operation of utility solar maintenance by keeping vegetation in check and ensuring environmental laws are followed.
• Keeps safety and environment as top priority and uses PPE as required.
• Operates trimmers/edgers and cleans area/equipment to prevent overgrowth around solar arrays and fences.
• Works with land maintenance contractors and sheep ranchers.
• Operates and maintains landscaping equipment including tractors and mowers.
• Assists with daily maintenance of mowing equipment and disposal of debris.
• May support maintenance of ponds and waterways on site, including boating if necessary.
• May assist washing PV panels using panel washing equipment.
• Suggests process improvements to the Land Maintenance Supervisor.
• May apply over-the-counter chemicals as directed.

• Supports the safe and reliable operation of the utility solar power plant by ensuring that vegetation does not impact operations of the solar arrays, and ensures that applicable environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines are followed for the care and maintenance of the land, roads, fence line, ponds, creek, and other waterways on the property.

• Keeps safety and environment as number one priority and utilizesPPE whenrequired.

• Operates trimmers/edgers, including cleaning-upareaand equipment routinely to minimize or prevent growth of vegetation in solar arrays, around equipment, and on fences and gates. This may include pulling and removing weeds and larger vegetation that cannot be managed with trimmers/edgers, as well as cleaning and disposal of debris and waste. May also include mowing, raking, sweeping, and minor equipment maintenance.

• Works with/support land maintenance contractors and sheep ranchers.

• Mayoperateand perform maintenance on landscaping equipment including tractors, sitting mowers, push mowers, and other required land maintenance equipment.

• Assistswith daily maintenance of all mowing and trimming equipment, and area clean-up and disposal of debris.

• May berequiredto support maintenance and clean-up of ponds and waterways on site, including working from a boat, if necessary.

• May support washing PV Panelsutilizingpanel washing equipment.

• Recognizes process improvements and communicates them to the Land Maintenance Supervisor.

• May apply over-the-counter chemicals (e.g.Round-Up, fertilizer, etc.) as directed.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $19.25 and $22.95/per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus. The benefits offered for this position are: medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (including vacation, sick leave time, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
