Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Land Development team through all phases of project lifecycles, from due diligence to closeout. The role requires travel to local sites and collaboration with municipal officials, engineers, and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in related fields and at least 2 years in project management, with strong budgeting and scheduling skills. This full-time position offers a competitive base salary and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural and civil plans; proficient in budget tracking and scheduling.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to local project sites and attend community/board meetings as required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams and municipal officials.

Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight & Site Feasibility: Support day-to-day management of multi-phase site development, evaluate potential properties, track budgets and schedules through closeout.
  • Permitting & Entitlements: Assist with entitlement processes and attend official meetings to secure land permits.
  • Vendor Procurement & Bidding: Coordinate RFPs, evaluate proposals, manage invoices and expenses.
  • On-Site Execution & Stakeholder Relations: Conduct field visits, review plans, and represent the company in governance meetings.

In this role, you will assist with managing project lifecycles from initial due diligence and entitlements through design, budgeting, vendor procurement, and construction closeout. Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate development, infrastructure construction, real estate transactions, or civil engineering/architecture, including at least 2 years in project management.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural and civil engineering construction plans. Proficiency in budget tracking and project scheduling.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel regularly to local project sites and attend community/board meetings as required.
  • Soft Skills: High organization, contract/bidding analysis abilities, and clear written and verbal communication skills across cross-functional teams and municipal officials.
  • Years of experience: 3 years
  • Experience level: Experienced

Responsibilities

  • Vendor Procurement & Bidding: Coordinate RFP processes, solicit and evaluate contractor/consultant proposals, make hiring recommendations, manage project invoices, and track ongoing expenses.
  • On-Site Execution & Stakeholder Relations: Conduct regular field site visits to track construction milestones, review technical architectural/engineering plans, and serve as a representative in community and governance board meetings.
