Job summary

RETTEW is seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager and licensed Professional Engineer to join our Planning & Design practice as a Land Development Engineering Team Lead. This role blends project leadership with hands-on design work on complex land development programs.

You will mentor Project Managers, oversee budgets and schedules, strengthen client relationships, and help grow RETTEW's land development service line while collaborating across offices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license with Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility via reciprocity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing land development projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of land development engineering and project delivery.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, supervising, or developing professionals in a project or team environment.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to plan workload and coordinate resources across multiple projects.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, technical professionals, Project Managers, and organizational leadership.
  • Interest and ability to support business development and client growth in partnership with RETTEW's Business Development team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor Project Managers and technical staff, supporting professional development, accountability, and team performance.
  • Provide leadership and technical oversight for complex land development projects, helping teams achieve quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
  • Serve as a resource to Project Managers for project strategy, technical challenges, client engagement, and delivery decisions.
  • Coordinate team workload, staffing, and resource allocation while collaborating across RETTEW offices and disciplines.
  • Monitor team and project financial performance, forecasting, workload, and established operational metrics; address performance concerns and opportunities.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities to expand RETTEW's services.
  • Partner with RETTEW's Business Development team to support proposals, pursuits, cross-selling, and client-growth initiatives.
  • Promote multidisciplinary collaboration and effective use of technical resources across the organization.
  • Reinforce RETTEW's quality standards, policies, and expectations.
  • Foster a team culture built around ownership, communication, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

RETTEW is seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager and licensed Professional Engineer to join our Planning & Design practice as a Land Development Engineering Team Lead.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished project leader who is ready to expand their impact beyond individual project delivery. As Team Lead, you will guide and develop Project Managers and technical staff, strengthen project and financial performance, help balance team resources, and support the continued growth of RETTEW's Land Development practice.

You won't leave project work behind. You'll remain connected to complex land development projects and key client relationships while helping other professionals become stronger project managers, technical contributors, and future leaders.

What You'll Do

Required
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license with Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility to obtain Pennsylvania licensure through reciprocity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing land development projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of land development engineering and project delivery.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, supervising, or developing professionals in a project or team environment.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to plan workload and coordinate resources across multiple projects.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Experience developing Project Managers or emerging leaders.
