Job summary

Chord Energy in Downtown Houston seeks an administrative support professional to serve as a frontline liaison for royalty/ownership records. You will respond to inquiries, process updates, and coordinate with Land Operations, Division Order, and accounting teams, ensuring data integrity with accuracy and professionalism.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (remote Mondays and Fridays) and compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year in administrative or customer service support.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with data entry and document handling.
  • Strong organizational habits and attention to detail; eagerness to learn energy workflows.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in processing returned royalty checks and routing undeliverable Division Orders.
  • Performs basic data entry of owner names, addresses, and account changes into Land System.
  • Learns to identify key ownership documents such as leases, W-9s, and Division Orders.
  • Supports scanning, filing, & archiving of documents in the retention system.
  • Prepares and mails basic form letters using standard templates.
  • Tracks received documents and updates project logs under supervision.
  • Participates in training to develop foundational knowledge of land admin and ownership principles.
  • Escalates unclear or complex ownership issues to Admin II or Coordinator II.
  • Helps organize files and storage boxes for audits or offsite storage.
  • Maintains attention to detail when entering information or preparing correspondence.

Job description

Serves as frontline liaison between the company and royalty/interest owners. Responds to inquiries, processes ownership and payment updates, and maintains owner-related records in compliance with legal and company standards. Ensures owner data integrity and supports Division Order, Land Operations, Lease Records, and accounting teams by coordinating accurate ownership information, documentation, and communication. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on accuracy, professionalism, and responsiveness. This position is located in Downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
