Latham Pool Products, Inc. in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Laminator for a dayshift, on-site role. You will apply fiberglass and resin to achieve high-quality pool surfaces, trim excess material, and ensure proper adhesion while maintaining tight tolerances.

The role requires attention, coordination, and the ability to work quickly with continuous material flow. Training will cover rolling, matlaying, laminating techniques, and safety protocols to support a productive manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to accommodate production schedule changes, overtime, and shifting priorities.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Roll fiberglass and resin composite materials to required specifications and quality standards, ensuring proper saturation and air removal.
• Use MIL gauge to verify material thickness and ensure production compliance.
• Trim pool copings and excess materials to specified dimensions.
• Gather and stage all materials required for shell production.
• Place reinforcements and core materials per design and process requirements.
• Inspect and prepare parts prior to layup to ensure surfaces meet quality standards.
• Lay woven mat and core materials accurately and efficiently.
• Complete required quality assurance forms and production documentation.
• Read, understand, and follow SDS and SOPs.
• Train and assist other employees in laminating techniques as assigned.
• Wear PPE and follow safety, health, and environmental protocols.

A little about the role: Dayshift position, mainly Monday- Friday.
The Laminator role is responsible for utilizing fiberglass and other materials to produce high quality products.

Job Summary
The Laminator is responsible for ensuring proper material application and finish quality during the manufacturing process. This role involves using a hand roller mounted on a 4–6-foot pole to evenly roll resin and materials, eliminating air pockets and ensuring full adhesion as materials are sprayed or layered onto the pool surface. The Laminator also trims and removes excess material to maintain specified tolerances and product quality. This position requires sustained attention, coordination, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently to keep pace with continuously applied materials.

Some of What You Will Do:

• Roll fiberglass and resin composite materials to required specifications and quality standards, ensuring proper saturation and air removal
• Properly use a MIL gauge to verify material thickness and ensure compliance with production requirements
• Trim pool copings and excess materials to specified dimensions
• Gather and stage all materials required for shell production
• Place reinforcements and core materials in designated locations per design and process requirements
• Inspect and prepare parts prior to layup to ensure surfaces meet quality standards
• Lay woven mat and core materials accurately and efficiently
• Complete required quality assurance forms and production documentation
• Read, understand, and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Train and assist other employees in proper rolling, matlaying, and laminating techniques as assigned
• Consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety, health, and environmental protocols.

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods throughout the work shift
• Flexibility to work overtime and possibly have schedule changed when production requires
