PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Laminate Operator performs safe laminating of polyethylene films with limited waste in accordance with company and customer specifications

WORK PERFORMED:

• Must be able to correctly setup and operate all Lamination lines in the department
• Must be able to check and maintain product quality, width, gauge, treat, clarity, and roll appearance for all machines running
• Checks operating conditions of all machines to ensure quality, production, and safe operation of equipment
• Load and unload printed and non-printed rolls on Laminator with assistance of lifting carts and hoist
• Meet all product quality, safety and production standards
• Ensure all Laminators are running at maximum output
• Ensure equipment is being operated safely
• Train and provide leadership to other team members
• Understand and complete shift reports, production forms, process conditions, pounds of production and waste, etc.
• Able to start up machine from a complete shut down
• Able to clean machine up and put into complete shut down
• Follow AIB guidelines
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor immediately
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety instructions
• Participate in ongoing CI and Focus improvement processes
• Fully understands and follows all ABX safety rules and policies
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates some organizational skills and attention to details
• Capable of and committed to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and company procedures.
