Job summary

The Lake Doctors, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a full-time technician to maintain lakes and ponds in the Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia area. The role requires independence, strong customer communication, and pride in workmanship.

Primary duties include treating vegetation and algae, conducting water tests, stocking fish, and keeping customer records. On-the-job training is provided; shifts run 6:30 am–3:00 pm, with competitive pay and commissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in lawn service or pest control is helpful.
• Some college coursework is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Treat and maintain lake vegetation and algae at established Lake Doctors accounts.
• Perform water testing and stock fish as needed for ponds and lakes.
• Maintain communication with homeowners associations and property owners.
• Record customer interactions in the service software system.
• Read and interpret herbicide labels, procedures and safety rules.
• Work effectively as a strong team player or independently as required.

Availability: Immediate - includes on the job training

Job Type: Full-time, Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday – Friday - 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on experience PLUS commissions

We are currently seeking technicians that enjoy working independently outside, can communicate well with customers, and take pride in their work. The qualified full-time Technician will treat and maintain lakes, ponds, and other bodies of water for a variety of customers in the Northeast FL and Southeast GA area.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Treating and maintaining lake vegetation and algae at established Lake Doctors accounts.
• Other duties include water testing, stocking fish and other pond and lake services.
• Maintain communication with customers such as Homeowners Associations, Management Companies and Property Owners.
• Present a positive and professional image in the community to help grow The Lake Doctors, Inc. business.
• Maintain customer records within customer service software system - on the job training.
• Ability to read and interpret herbicide labels, operating procedures, and safety rules.
• Possess good time management, organizational and communication skills.
• Highly motivated individual that works well on their own.
• Strong Team Player.
• Comfortable speaking with the customers to discuss their lake and pond needs.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in lawn service or pest control (helpful).
• Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge (helpful).
• High school or equivalent (required). Some college helpful but not essential.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical strength and agility to safely and sufficiently operate equipment in outdoor environments, on or near water, in an environment that may include heavy vegetation, uneven terrain, various species of wildlife and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work outdoors and use equipment such as boats, all-terrain vehicles, trucks and other assigned equipment or vehicles.
• Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear all personal protection equipment needed in various weather conditions.

Restrictions:

• A valid, clean driver’s license for the operations of various motor vehicles and equipment. Our insurance company must accept you as an insured prior to employment.
• Full Time only.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• We perform background checks, motor vehicle record checks and drug screening.
