Qualificações

• Foundational skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, or interest in learning.

• Skills related to Behavioral Intervention, such as implementing behavior plans and supporting skill development.
• Basic understanding of Psychology or child development, or relevant coursework/experience with neurodiverse children.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Lahaina, Maui; standing, moving, and engaging in active play.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow structured protocols.
• Interest in obtaining RBT certification; paid RBT training provided; prior ABA or special education experience a plus.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Behavior Technician role based in Lahaina on the island of Maui. The Behavior Technician will work directly with children and youth in clinic and tutoring settings, implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging clients in structured and play-based learning activities, collecting accurate behavior and skill‑acquisition data, and supporting goals related to communication, social skills, academic performance, and reduction of challenging behaviors. The role involves collaborating with clinical supervisors and families, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment, and participating in ongoing training, including paid RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) preparation and professional development.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, or a strong interest in learning and applying these methods.
• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Candidates should possess skills related to Behavioral Intervention, such as implementing behavior plans, supporting skill development, and managing challenging behaviors in a structured setting.
• Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Psychology or child development, or relevant coursework or experience working with neurodiverse children and youth.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in psychology, education, or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Lahaina, Maui, including standing, moving, and engaging in active play with children throughout the day.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable following structured protocols and detailed instructions.
• Interest in obtaining RBT certification; paid RBT training is provided, and prior ABA or special education experience is a plus.
