The Caterpillar Lafayette Large Engine Center (LEC) is seeking students currently enrolled in a four-year university to work side by side with manufacturing and supply chain professionals at Caterpillar. Interns are empowered with assignments that provide them with relevant work experience and significant opportunities for learning. This internship program will start in May of 2027 working full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer and then will transition to a part-time (10 to 20 hours per week) assignment during the academic school year. The position may start prior to May 2027 with the agreement of candidate and hiring manager. This position has the opportunity to continue until graduation!
As an intern within the LEC internship program, you’ll join a team with diverse project responsibilities and have valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar employees.

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Summary Pay Range: $25.00 - $43.00
Intern Hourly Rate: An intern's hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of the internship.
