Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a part-time Lactation Consultant to provide breastfeeding support to in-patients and out-patients, including counseling, classes and support groups. Responsibilities include collaboration with nursing staff and physicians, documentation, and referrals post-discharge.
Qualifications include a High school diploma or equivalent, IBCLC certification or progress toward, and 1 year of counseling experience.

Responsibilities include the provision of breast-feeding support services that address the needs of patients, physicians and nursing staff. Provides services to both in-patients and out-patients, including counseling, classes and support groups.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
College credits toward Associate Degree (in any field) or LPN preferred.
Licensure: Current IBCLC Certification or working toward certification.
Experience: One (1) year direct counseling experience with breastfeeding families preferred.

Strong customer service skills.
Ability to understand human behavior.
