Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year experience.
• Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) certification.
• Current American Heart Association healthcare provider certification or completion within probation.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and ability to multitask.
• Preferred: BSN and experience in mother/baby care.

The position provides

The position provides lactation support, education, and assistance to mothers and families during hospital stays and post-discharge, ensuring a positive breastfeeding experience.

It involves initiating and maintaining contact with mothers, coordinating outpatient care, and serving as a clinical and educational resource for staff and community outreach.

Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating neonatal patient care activities in collaboration with nursing and ancillary teams.

Functions are within the scope of nursing practice, aligned with organizational values, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.

Flexibility in scheduling is required to facilitate patient contact, including working rotating weekends and evenings.
