Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules.
• Demonstrated competitive coaching skills in area of sporting specialty.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with student-athletes.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of strengthening and conditioning methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

• See that all team members have returned insurance and physical forms before the first practice.
• Prepare and submit a roster to the Athletic Department office; inform AD of roster changes.
• Keep parents informed about the program.
• Teach sports techniques, rules, strategies, and tactics.
• Condition athletes for endurance, strength, and agility.
• Supervise practices and contests; supervise locker rooms and buses.
• Model sportsmanship, teamwork, work ethic and responsibility.
