Job summary

The University of Denver is seeking a knowledgeable Club Men's Lacrosse Assistant Coach to lead the club for the 2026-2027 season. This part-time, non-benefited role involves coaching lacrosse at a high level with travel to away games and evening practices, September through May scheduling, and collaboration with other coaches to reach team goals.

The position averages 10–15 hours per week, with evenings (3pm–10pm) and weekend commitments.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication to motivate athletes.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification and CDC Heads Up training to be obtained within first 30 days.
• Willingness to work evenings (3pm–10pm) and weekends.
• Prior coaching experience with lacrosse background.

Responsibilities

• Travel to away games and attend 2–3 weekly practices and weekend games.
• Plan and execute effective and productive practices and game plans.
• Lead practice planning, film study, scouting and game preparation.
• Create a safe, inclusive training environment and uphold university standards.
• Maintain communication with the Club Sports Manager and other university staff.
• Attend mandatory coach meetings and trainings.
