Job summary

Beaufort County School District on Hilton Head Island is seeking a 2026-27 Boys Lacrosse Assistant Coach at Hilton Head Island High School. This part-time temporary position is paid on the district stipend schedule.

The assistant coach will support the head coach in preparing athletes, organizing practices, and scheduling contests while promoting safety, sportsmanship, and academic eligibility. Qualifications include prior lacrosse coaching experience, knowledge of SC High School League rules,

• Coaching experience in lacrosse preferred.
• Ability to teach team fundamentals and sportsmanship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in lacrosse fundamentals and conditioning.
• Assist in scheduling practices and interscholastic contests.
• Maintain attendance and safety records; ensure compliance with policies.
• Enforce conduct standards and eligibility requirements for athletes.
