• Providing excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Processing transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Assisting customers with finding products, answering questions, and providing information about LACASA and its mission
• Maintaining a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, tidying displays, and keeping the store well-maintained
• Assisting in receiving and organizing donation processing
• Participating in store promotional events and sales initiatives to drive revenue and support fundraising efforts
• Collaborating with team members to achieve sales goals and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers
• Following store policies and procedures, including cash handling, as well as safety and security protocols

LACASA Collection is an upscale charity resale boutique located in Kensington Valley Outlets in Howell, Michigan. All proceeds from our store and online sales stay local and fund critical programs for victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual violence at LACASA Center.

We encourage our customers to shop for good and donate for good, knowing they are helping victims of abuse at LACASA Center. We create a comfortable setting for our clients to shop with dignity for the things they need at no charge.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: As a Part-Time Sales Associate at LACASA Collection you will play a vital role in supporting LACASA’s mission while providing exceptional customer service and driving store sales. This position involves assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, as well as contributing to a positive shopping experience for all visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience in a retail sales environment is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service and communication skills. Strong math and organizational skills are essential. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Evening and weekend availability is required, but you’ll be glad to know we keep very reasonable retail hours—we close at 7 PM Monday through Saturday and 5 PM on Sundays, so you’ll never work late nights.

Work Environment: This role may require standing for extended periods, lifting/moving products, and occasional work outside of regular business hours for cleaning, maintenance, stocking, or deliveries. Work occurs in a fast-paced retail environment.
