Job description

Kanawha Stone Company is looking for qualified construction professionals to join our team as laborers, pipe layers, flaggers, off‑road truck drivers and other various field personnel positions. These positions would be based in Beckley, WV and would be responsible for various tasks relating to their position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting field foreman to complete various tasks relating to heavy civil construction.
• Operation of equipment, based on experience, to dig trenches, move mass excavation, install pipe, grade work, and other various tasks.
• Flagging traffic for field operations to ensure public safety around the work zone.
• Installing storm drainage, bedding material, and structures.
• Operating 777 and 20 ton articulating trucks to move mass excavation.
• Erosion control device installation including, but not limited to, silt fence, check dams, inlet protection, and other various devices.
• Abiding by safety practices that are set forth by OSHA, the West Virginia Department of Highways, and Kanawha Stone’s internal policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Driver’s License
• Experience in Heavy Civil Construction is a plus.

Travel Requirements

These positions require travel to the jobsite, which is located in Apple Grove, WV.
