Job summary

Graywolf Integrated Construction Company is seeking Laborers for our Centertown, KY project site. This entry‑level role supports journeymen and helpers with erecting, wrecking, maintenance and janitorial tasks on construction projects.

You will work safely around hazards, operate basic hand and power tools, and assist in material handling while staying on site and following supervision. Strong English communication and pre‑hire requirements completion are needed.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; prior construction experience may be preferred.
• Must communicate effectively and accurately with coworkers and customers.
• Must pass required pre-hire checks and training.
• Read, write and communicate in English to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

• Safety – work safely around construction hazards.
• Tools – use hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools safely.
• Dig, spread and level dirt and gravel using a pick and shovel.
• Lift, carry and hold building materials and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials and work areas.
• Spray materials to clean, coat or seal surfaces.
• Stop operations if hazards are detected.
• Maintain communication with supervision.
• Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers and hoses.
• Stay on site while work is performed.
• Identify hazards and take corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

A Laborer assists Craft Journeyman and Craft Helpers by performing support tasks on construction projects such as erecting, wrecking, repairing, maintenance and janitorial functions. Considered entry level.

Essential Duties

• Safety – work safely around the hazards associated with the Construction field.
• Tools – use hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools and in a safe manner.
• Dig, spread and level dirt and gravel using a pick and shovel.
• Lift, carry and hold building materials and supplies
• Clean tools, equipment, materials and work areas, including sweeping, mopping and other general clean-up activities.
• Spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint or stucco through hose to clean, coat or seal surfaces.
• Stop operations (Stop Work Authority) if you find any hazardous conditions.
• Maintain constant means of communication with supervision.
• Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors and hose carts at any time.
• Always stay on the jobsite while work is being completed.
• Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position – however candidates with prior experience will be preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and accurately with employees and customers.
• Must be able to successfully pass required Confined Space Entry training.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
• Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions as required by client and/or facility policy.

Physical/Site Requirements

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
• PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
