The Laborer – Water/Sewer performs entry-level manual work in support of water distribution, sewer collection, wastewater treatment, and related operational activities. Work involves assisting with construction, installation, maintenance, repair, and service tasks necessary to support the safe and efficient operation of CPU’s water and wastewater systems.
This position performs physically demanding duties under direct supervision.

High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
No prior experience required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Valid Mississippi Driver’s License required.
Work is performed primarily outdoors in varied weather conditions. The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, digging, operating tools and equipment, and performing repetitive physical tasks. The position may require overtime or emergency response outside regular working hours, in accordance with CPU policy.
