Job summary

North Sky Communications, LLC is seeking a Laborer – Telecom Underground (BSW) to participate in all phases of underground telecommunications construction and buried wire drop installations. The role includes loading, material delivery, hand digging, line placement, site restoration, and operating specialized equipment.

The wage range is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, with full-time employment and opportunities for growth, safety training, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant work experience.
• Experience with hand tools and utility trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Field Construction: day-to-day underground utility tasks, including loading materials, haul/delivery, hand digging, and operating equipment.
• Cable Installation: install and bury underground telecommunications cabling, service drops, and wires.
• Equipment & Site Maintenance: safely operate construction tools/equipment and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Site Restoration: assist with site cleanup, backfilling, and surface restoration after installation.
• Daily Reporting & Communication: complete daily production reports and maintain clear, effective communication with crew members and supervisors.
• All-Weather Work: work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States for North Sky Communications, LLC.
• Education & Experience: High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Tool & Vehicle Experience: Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks is preferred.

Physical Abilities & Environmental Exposures

• Routinely: Work outdoors at heights; enter attics/crawl spaces; work independently in remote locations; operate vehicles and heavy machinery; perform physical tasks involving squeezing, fine hand motion, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs; and lift up to 55 lbs. without assistance.
• Occasionally: Use ladders, keyboards, and mice.

The wage range for Laborer Telecom Underground - Buried Wire is $20.00 - $24.00.
