Job summary

Lambert's Cable is hiring a Laborer for our Telecom Underground team in The Villages, FL. You will participate in all phases of underground construction, including loading, delivery, digging, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities include installing underground telecom cabling, maintaining clean work areas, and good team communication. You will complete daily reports and support site restoration in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant experience.
• Prefer experience safely operating hand tools and utility trucks.

What You’ll Do

• Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
• Install underground telecommunications cabling
• Maintain work areas and keep them tidied up
• Communicate effectively with all team members
• Complete daily production reports
• Assist with site restoration efforts
• Work in all weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Preferred experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Must routinely work at heights, occasionally enter attics and crawl spaces, and sometimes be alone in remote locations
• Must be capable of operating vehicles and heavy machinery, squeezing in tight spaces, performing fine hand motions, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 pounds without assistance
• May occasionally use ladders, keyboards, and mice
