Job summary

Texstar Enterprises LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew in installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables and equipment.

You\u2019ll provide tools and materials, assist with moving equipment, ensure safety signage, stock vehicles, and work in all weather. A valid driver\u2019s license and ability to work 18+ are required, with a high school diploma or GED and pole climbing certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver\u2019s license with a clean driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified.
• Prior labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older

• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
