Apex Companies, a leading environmental and civil engineering firm, is hiring a Laborer/Technician (Driver) to support stormwater maintenance across Southern California. You will be part of a field crew performing underground cleaning using vacuum trucks and pressure washers, ensuring the water returns to the ocean remains clean.

You will gain hands-on experience with stormwater devices and infrastructure, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid Driver License and reliable transportation.
• You can communicate in English (reading and writing).
• Overtime is required.
• Able to lift between 25-75 lbs throughout the day.
• Kneeling, bending, and squatting are performed throughout the day.

Your Responsibilities as a Laborer/Technician (Driver):

The work you perform each day ensures that the storm water that returns to the ocean is clean. You will be working at various locations throughout SoCal cleaning a variety of different storm drain devices. Technicians work as part of a crew performing underground stormwater maintenance using equipment such as vacuum trucks and pressure washers. Daily responsibilities include inspecting and cleaning stormwater systems, removing debris and sediment, pumping out water from vaults and filtration systems, and assisting with remediation work on bio-swells and underground infrastructure. This position offers strong hands-on experience with stormwater devices and environmental infrastructure and we're happy to provide training for this role.

What we’re looking for:

• You must have a valid Driver License, reliable transportation, cell phone, and clean driving record
• You have ability to operate a pressure washer, generator, and other related equipment
• You can communicate in English (reading and writing)
• Confined Space and/or Traffic Control Certified is a plus.
• Overtime is required
• You can lift between 25-75 lbs throughout the day
• Kneeling, bending, and squatting are performed throughout the day
• No experience necessary, we will train you

Hourly Expected Pay Range

$21 - $23 USD
