Job summary

Gudenkauf, a Congruex Company, is seeking an Aerial Groundman to join our construction team. This entry-level position supports Linemen with material handling, site setup, and basic construction tasks on telecom projects.

You will perform hands-on labor, learn on-the-job, and advance with experience. A strong safety mindset and ability to follow directions are essential for success at Congruex.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to lift 40–90 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Able to follow directions from supervisors and work in a team setting.
• Capable of traffic control and safe operations on construction sites.
• Willing to wear safety gear (boots, glasses, hardhat) and observe safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lineman with loading, unloading, and preparing tools and materials at each job site.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, tamping, brushing, and material handling as directed.
• Support with traffic control and safe site operations.
• Operate company vehicle between yard and job site.
• Complete any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Summary

Our operating unit provides telecom construction services, and we are looking for a Ground Hand to join our team.

Groundman is an entry-level position in the line of progression for Telecommunications Lineman. The Groundman performs various manual labor type tasks at the work site to assist crew members such as loading and unloading supplies and materials, cutting brush, traffic control and assisting in preparing materials for installation. On-the-job training provides rapid opportunity for advancement and increased pay.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists Lineman in loading, unloading, layout and preparing tools/supplies/equipment/materials needed at each job site.
• Performs manual labor type tasks as directed by the Lineman, Foreman, or Supervisor such as cleaning truck, digging ditches, tamping, cutting brush and moving materials.
• Assists with Traffic Control and Safe Operations
• Handles physically demanding construction duties
• Drives a company-provided vehicle from the yard to the job site and back.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
