Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services, dBA InterCon/Five Star Energy Services/M&C Utility is seeking workers for utility construction in Wisconsin. You will support HDD projects, prepare sites, load tools, and assist with pipe fusion and HDPE work.

A valid Class A CDL, clean driving record, and physical stamina are required. Travel readiness and the ability to bend, kneel, stand and walk for long periods are essential, with experience in gas mains or fiber optics preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class A CDL required.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods.
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on small horizontal directional drilling projects.
• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate possible hazards.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Hand dig to clear debris for operator.
• Check utilities and clearances.
• Safely and efficiently operate tools and equipment based on job requirements, including locating utilities.
• Fuse and prepare HDPE pipe, assemble fittings and parts to specifications.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Assist with drilling fluid mixing and clean-up.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of reamers and operate reamers without assistance.
• Assist with job site clean-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
