Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking individuals to assist skilled craft workers in performing assigned duties on industrial/construction projects. You will work across crafts under supervision, following directions from foremen while maintaining safety norms and quality.

The role emphasizes learning, safe operation of tools, and contributing to efficient project execution. Expected to develop practical skills on site, communicate effectively, and participate in maintaining a safe, productive work

Qualifications

NCCER Core Curriculum or equivalent high school diploma.
Experience in industrial/construction preferred (1+ years).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
Ask a supervisor before continuing if unsure about any aspect of the work or safety issues.
Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.

Maintain positive working relationships with crew members.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman.

Minimum Job Requirements

NCCER Core Curriculum and /or a High School diploma or equivalent is also preferred.
One year experience (level I), two years' experience (level II) and three plus years' experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry is preferred.
Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas.
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
Will climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs. on an occasional basis
Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
