Job summary

Frontier Central School District is seeking a dependable maintenance worker for the 12-month, 8-hour evening shift from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday through Friday. The role includes cleaning, floor care, outdoor tasks, and basic upkeep of buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities cover sweeping, waxing floors, light repairs, outdoor site maintenance, and handling shipments. Candidates should be able to supervise seasonal staff and lift medium weights as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of maintenance and repair of buildings, fixtures and equipment.
• Ability to perform simple repairs and adjustments to buildings and equipment.
• Ability to supervise cleaning and seasonal personnel.
• Ability to lift medium weights and perform manual tasks.
• Willingness to perform routine manual work in all weather.
• Must have physical endurance for demanding duties.
• Must be in good physical condition for the role.
• Completion of at least an eighth-grade education.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service buildings by sweeping, mopping offices, halls, stairs and entrances.
• Wax and buff floors with mechanical equipment.
• Oil, lubricate or grease motors in mechanical rooms and elevators.
• Clean lighting fixtures; replace bulbs; wash windows and walls; move furniture.
• Assist with outdoor tasks: sweep walks, shovel snow, cut lawns, trim hedges.
• Load/unload trucks and check shipments.
• Act as messenger as necessary.
• Repair minor maintenance on trucks and tools; dispose of trash and linen.
• Deliver clean linen and manage filters/chlorine counts where applicable.
• Perform related maintenance and cleaning duties as required.
