Job summary

VEKA Inc in Pennsylvania is seeking a maintenance/janitorial technician to provide routine plant upkeep and a clean, safe environment for employees. Primary duties include daily trash removal, parts pickup and deliveries, recycling throughout the plant and offices, mowing, snow plowing, painting, cleaning windows and restrooms, and setting up meeting rooms.

Secondary duties cover moving office furniture, transporting people as needed, and completing other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must obtain/maintain Fork Truck Operator and JLG licenses.
• Commercial electricity experience a plus.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Daily trash removal throughout the plant and offices
• Parts pickup and deliveries, as instructed
• Recycling all materials throughout the plant and offices
• Mow grass
• Plow snow
• Painting
• Clean Windows / Mirrors
• Restroom Maintenance

SECONDARY DUTIES:

• Setup meeting rooms
• Move office furniture and equipment
• Provide customer, clients, and company officer transportation
• All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Judgement, Drive and Initiative, Flexibility, Tact and Diplomacy, and Timeliness

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver’s license, and obtain/maintain Fork Truck Operators License, as well as JLG License. Commercial electricity experience a plus.

Hours: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Overtime as needed.
