Job summary

Zenith Tech Inc. a Walbec Group Company in Southeast WI/Southwest WI is seeking a Laborer to support bridge and related construction projects.

The role involves physical labor, concrete demolition, deck repair, equipment maintenance, and site clean-up under the Foreman’s direction. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (GED preferred), a valid driver's license, and are willing to work varied hours, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years prior bridge construction or laborer experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Willing to work varied hours including nights and weekends.
• Able to work in dirty, dusty environments and in variable weather.
• Union member or willingness to become a member (not required before employment).
• Experience operating concrete vibration tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor supporting layout and construction of bridges and related structures.
• Conduct concrete demolition and deck repair tasks.
• Maintain machines and equipment used on site.
• Assist in site clean-up and material handling.
• Follow Foreman or management directions and perform other duties as assigned.

The Position:

We're looking for a Laborer responsible for many tasks that require physical labor supporting all aspects in the layout and construction of bridges and related structures to include concrete demolition, concrete deck repair, keeping machines and equipment maintained, assist in clean-up of job site, and other duties assigned by the Foreman or other management.

The Location:

• Projects will vary by location, so reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to any job site is required as needed.
• This position will include work in the area(s) of Racine WI., Kenosha WI., Milwaukee WI., and the Madison area.

The Candidate:

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
• Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
• Be willing and capable of working in a physically demanding job.
• Member of a Local Laborer Union, or willingness to become a union member are required. Union membership is not required prior to employment. Our Human Resources Department is available to assist in that process if needed.
• 2 years prior bridge construction experience and/or construction laborer experience is preferred.
• Experience operating a concrete vibrator, jack hammer, and mortar mixer.
