Job summary

AVIATOR PAVING COMPANY CHARLOTTE LLC is seeking a laborer to load, unload, and move construction materials and assist skilled trades on site. You will prepare and clean sites, operate tools and equipment, and help with digs, backfilling, and earth compacting under supervision.

Applicants should be able to perform physically demanding work in varying weather, follow plans and safety procedures, and report hazards. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous construction experience is an advantage though not always required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of construction tools, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare and clean construction sites before, during, and after projects.
• Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled workers as needed.
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
• Remove debris and hazardous materials from work areas.
• Follow project plans, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Report safety hazards, equipment issues, and project concerns to supervisors.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
