Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Laborer to support road and highway project operations. This full-time role requires safe, hands-on work at construction sites, with shift flexibility including day, swing, and occasional night hours.

You will perform site housekeeping, assist with subgrade prep and basic concrete and asphalt work, operate hand tools, and help other trades. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Previous construction experience preferred.
• Ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Remove debris and perform daily jobsite housekeeping; maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
• Shovel, rake, excavate, backfill, load and unload materials; dig trenches as required.
• Operate hand tools and small equipment; perform basic inspections and maintenance.
• Assist with asphalt paving tasks and install temporary structures; control traffic.
• Conduct grade checks using tape measures, levels, and lasers.
• Assist carpenters, masons, operators, and other trades.
• Other duties as required.
