Job summary

Ritsema Associates is seeking a Laborer to support construction and renovation projects across multiple job sites in West Michigan. The role emphasizes manual labor, site preparation, and assisting skilled trades while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Travel between job sites is required.

The Laborer will load and move materials, prepare sites, and assist with demolition and setup under the foreman's direction. This is a full‑time, on‑site position with year‑round work opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment.
• Prepare and clean job sites, including debris removal, sweeping, and organizing tools.
• Assist with demolition and site setup.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools as directed.
• Support skilled trades by providing materials and performing simple tasks.
• Arrive on time and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Represent the company professionally and courteously.
• Work independently or as part of a team depending on project needs.
• Ask questions and seek clarification when needed to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Follow all jobsite safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Participate in pre‑employment physical and drug screening.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support project success.

Compensation: $18 – $20 per hour.

Travel Requirements

• Reliable transportation required to travel between job sites
