Job summary

Delta Constructors, LLC is seeking a Laborer to support oilfield operations. You will dig trenches, perform general groundwork, and assist journeymen across disciplines at an Anchorage, Alaska site.

The role requires handling hand and power tools, maintaining a safe work environment, and complying with all site policies. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; oilfield experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Current and valid Driver’s License required.
• 1 year oilfield laborer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and assistance to civil work activities.
• Assist journeymen across disciplines as assigned.
• Perform job site maintenance and cleanup.
• Support welding activities with fire watch duties when required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description:

The laborer reports directly to the Laborer Foreman and supports oilfield operations through labor-intensive activities to include, but not limited to; digging trenches, general groundwork around drill sites and process facilities, assisting various discipline journeyman with job tasks (scaffold, architectural, insulation, iron worker, etc.) job site maintenance and installation of mechanical apparatus. The incumbent will operate both hand and power tools as needed. Job tasks vary daily.

Schedule:

• 5 days per week 11.5 hours per day


• 57.5 hours per week

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides labor and assistance to civil work activities


• Provides labor and assistance to various discipline journeymen as assigned


• Performs job site maintenance/clean-up


• Fire watch duties as assigned to support structural or pipe welding activities


• Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or Equivalent


• Current and valid Driver’s License


• One (1) year experience working in oilfield as a Laborer or other field position, preferred

Post Job Offer Requirements:

• Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.


• Take and Pass a Fit-for Duty Examination.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Basic knowledge and proficiency of hand and power tools used in an industrial oilfield setting


• Basic knowledge of civil, structural, pipefitting and/or other labor crafts


• Knowledge and experience in oilfield operations, preferred


• Ability to use time efficiently to complete projects/assignments on time


• Ability to work minimum 10-hour shift daily


• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly in a team environment


• Skilled in maintaining positive attitude in challenging situations
