Job summary

Western Elite is seeking personnel to support Roll Off drivers and customers at our MRF locations in Henderson, with duties at multiple sites including Nellis. You will sort recyclables, guide vehicles, and operate equipment as needed. Must be able to drive a manual transmission and communicate in English; Spanish helpful.

Job description

Henderson Location, Wynn Location, Nellis Location.

The primary purpose of this position is to direct and assist Roll Off Drivers and customers as they dump materials at our MRF (Material Recovery Facility) and to separate and sort recyclable materials from the waste stream.

Essential Job Functions:

• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Lookiing for someone that has Skidsteer experience.
• Sort materials received at the MRF, remove recyclables, and place recyclables in appropriate storage containers.
• Direct vehicles backing up at the MRF to ensure safety.
• Operate equipment as directed (training provided as needed).
• Assists customers as directed by MRF leadership.
• Consistent and regular attendance. Work varied shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish preferred.

Position-Specific Requirements:

• Previous experience working in an MRF or recycling center is preferred.
• Previous experience operating equipment and machinery preferred (forklift, loader, bobcat, bailer, etc).
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Withstand various physical activities such as frequent walking, sitting, bending, standing, pushing, and kneeling without restriction throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Able and willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with customers, management, employees, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
