Job summary

Granite Construction is hiring a Laborer in Grand Prairie, Texas to safely support concrete crews on demolition, building, highway, and heavy construction sites. The role includes an on-the-job training program (OJT) and the opportunity to grow with a century-old company.

You will assist with measuring, mixing concrete, handling tools, and helping with form work while following directions and safety protocols to maintain quality and schedule at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have construction experience / heavy construction preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience required.
• Physically able to stand/walk for long periods and lift 50–100 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Measure and stake areas and assist with form work
• Help with mixing, carrying and placing concrete
• Assist with scaffolding, shoring, and brace setup
• Support grademen and operators to ensure alignment and grade specifications
• Assist with general site duties and cleanup
