Job summary

Sims Metal in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a production associate to support the metal recycling process. The role focuses on safe operation of equipment, sorting materials, loading and unloading, and routine maintenance.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm, with overtime as needed. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

• Operate safety equipment and follow safe work habits.
• Operate or assist machinery in the production process.
• Inspect materials and sort by type, size, color, or other traits.
• Load and unload items from machines and conveyors.
• Clean and lubricate equipment.
• Sweep and shovel residual waste from the process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Shift: M-F 7am-4pm; overtime as needed.

• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors and conveyances
• Clean and lubricate equipment
• Sweeps and shovels residual waste from process
• Perform other duties as assigned

Shift: M-F 7am-4pm
Overtime as needed based on business reasons

Job Qualifications
