Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Laborer for the Ada, OK cement plant to perform cleaning and utility tasks that keep the site running safely and efficiently.

You will inspect areas, operate equipment (skid steer, sweeper, water truck), complete safety procedures, document activities, and support multiple plant areas as needed while following all PPE and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years work experience.
• Able to work outdoors, at heights, in dusty environments.
• Ability to weld and operate mobile equipment preferred.
• Must adhere to safety protocols and PPE.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Laborer position is a multi-skilled position responsible for the cleaning and utility operations at the Ada, OK cement plant.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Perform inspections & checklists on work areas
• Participate in and complete any and all safety processes or procedures as required by the company oroutside regulatory agencies
• Clean up and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Operate various small to mid-sized mobile equipment (skid steer, sweeper, water truck, vac-truck etc.)
• Fill in vacancies within different areas of the plant
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
• Other duties as assigned
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Preferred Education: High School Diploma/GED

Required Work Experience:1-3 years

Additional Requirements:

• Laborers will be required to work outside, at heights, warm temperatures, in dusty environments and confined spaces.
• Position may include changing schedules or rotating shift as necessary.
• Ideal candidates would have a high mechanical aptitude,
• Ability to work in a team based environment and excellent mechanical knowledge, ability to weld and experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Mobile equipment operation (Skid Steer, BobCat, Man-Lift operator) (preferred)
• General Laboring (carrying, lifting parts and tools, cleaning)
• Experience using hand tools (Drills, pneumatic powered tools, hammers, wrenches, etc.)
• Ability to read measuring tools
• Understand Basic mathematics
• Follow all safety, enviromental and complaince policies
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
