Job summary

The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) invites applications for a part-time Laboratory Technician to assist with tissue sectioning and related tasks. This position is ideal for an undergraduate student seeking hands-on biomedical research experience in a supportive lab.

Responsibilities include preparing and sectioning tissue samples, labeling and tracking specimens, maintaining meticulous records, and supporting routine lab maintenance while following established protocols and safety

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and sectioning tissue samples using standard laboratory techniques.
  • Assisting with organization, labeling and tracking of tissue specimens.
  • Maintaining accurate and meticulous records of samples and procedures.
  • Supporting general laboratory organization and routine lab maintenance.
  • Following established protocols and safety procedures.
  • Working closely with lab members and taking direction from supervisors.

Position Overview and Responsibilities

The Ocaas Lab is seeking a part time Laboratory Technician to assist with tissue sectioning and related laboratory tasks This position is ideal for an undergraduate student interested in biomedical research medicine or graduateprofessional school who is looking to gain hands on laboratory experience Responsibilities will include Preparing and sectioning tissue samples using standard laboratory techniquesAssisting with organization labeling and tracking of tissue specimensMaintaining accurate and meticulous records of samples and proceduresSupporting general laboratory organization and routine lab maintenanceFollowing established protocols and safety proceduresWorking closely with lab members and taking direction from supervisors

Minimum Qualifications
