Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing seeks a Laboratory Technician I to join our dairy testing team. The role supports QA/QC, sample registration, data entry, and instrument operation with zeal for accuracy and safety.

You will follow SOPs, maintain records, and collaborate across departments. The ideal candidate possesses a biology-related degree and authorization to work in the U.S. with full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Biology, microbiology, molecular biology, food science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.
• Adhere to quality measures to meet standards set by regulatory bodies and company requirements.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Register incoming samples and maintain a neat, accurate record system.
• Enter sample data into Eurofins eLIMS systems accurately and timely.
• Learn to operate dairy testing instruments and validate results.
• Identify process difficulties and report to management with proposed solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues and clients.
• Promote company image through ethical business practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Description

Pay Range: $18.00/Hr. (Plus 10% Shift Differential)

Shift: Tuesday- Saturday, 4am- 12:30pm

The Laboratory Technician I receives sufficient authority from, and is accountable to the Laboratory Manager or appointed designate (Group Lead) for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities and has the authority to take action necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position and to identify the occurrence of departures from the procedures for performing tests and/or calibrations, so long as such action does not deviate from established company guidelines, is consistent with sound technical and business judgment, and follows the practices of the laboratory.

1. Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.
2. Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by NCIMS 2400 forms or other requlatory bodies, and company requirements relevant to assigned duties.
3. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned analytical work; maintain and assist others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
4. Registration of incoming samples, maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes.
5. Enter the sample data into Eurofins eLIMS systems in a timely and accurate manner.
6. Learn to operate dairy testing instruments efficiently and ensure results are properly validated.
7. Identify process difficulties and report these together with proposed solutions to management.
8. Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and co-workers.
9. Maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees. Communicate orally and in writing to co-workers. This includes “intra” and “inter” departmental employees.
10. Promote the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and our customers.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
