Job summary

KTA-Tator, Inc. is offering an in-person internship at our Findlay Township office near Pittsburgh. The role involves hands-on sample prep, bench and instrumental testing, and assisting on projects in corrosion and asset protection.

We seek students pursuing degrees in materials science, chemistry, or engineering who can work independently and in teams, endure odors, and handle physical tasks. Internship runs Fall 2026–May 2027, 12+ hours/week, pay $15/hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in material science, chemistry, engineering or related discipline.
• Willingness to work with strong odors and messy materials.
• Ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
• Interest in applied science.
• Applicants must be able to reliably report to the office in-person during scheduled working hours.
• Technical writing experience - desired
• Physical requirements: vision, color vision; lift 40+ pounds; wear respiratory protection; stand for long periods; etc.

Hours: 12+ hours weekly (in-person)

Duration: Fall 2026 through May 2027*

Pay: $15/hour

Location: Because this internship requires onsite attendance, candidates must be prepared to commute to our main office in Findlay Township. Please note that public transportation options to this location are limited, and the office is not directly served by a bus route.
