Job summary

Tech Mahindra ltd is seeking a qualified laboratory technician in Houston, Texas. This role involves managing solid waste and providing accurate results to customers while utilizing laboratory techniques. The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in Chemistry or a related field, along with minimum 2 years of accredited training.

The position requires completion of environmental and safety training, along with successful passing of a pre-employment physical. All information will be kept confidential following EEO guidelines.

Qualifications

• Completion of initial classroom training in environmental, safety, quality and lab methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate results that will become binding documents to customers on the specifications of the product(s) they are purchasing. Prevent damage by correct use of sensitive laboratory equipment.
• Manage solid waste for the site, including classification, storage, and shipments.
• Minimum of 2 years of accredited training in chemistry and/or laboratory techniques.
• 4-year degree in Chemistry, Environmental or Safety to improve future advancement potential.

Required to become a qualified laboratory technician

• Completion of initial classroom training in environmental, safety, quality and lab methods. Training in environmental includes management of lab wastes, emergency response plan training, spill response training, RCRA, DOT, and basic HAZCOM instructions.
• Completion of initial on‑the‑job training by a qualified laboratory technician or supervisor.

Qualifications

• Passing of a pre‑employment physical.
