Ferrel Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a full-time weekend-inclusive schedule. You will perform tests across chemistry, hematology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, toxicology and coagulation, supporting the lab manager and standing in as supervisor when needed.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, plus CMS/CLIA testing credentials, and a National Laboratory Registry certificate within 12 months of hire, with at least two years of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Science or equivalent required.
• Certificate from National Laboratory Registry within 12 months of hire.
• Two years of laboratory experience required.
• CMS/CLIA testing personal requirements must be met.

Responsabilités

• Performs laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, toxicology and coagulation.
• Assists the laboratory manager / general supervisor and may assume duties of general supervisor temporarily when necessary.
• Maintains quality control for all testing and performs maintenance of laboratory analyzers.
• Maintains skills to work as a laboratory assistant when required.

Job Duties:

Provides information for patient diagnosis and treatment by performing laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, toxicology and coagulation. Will assist the laboratory manager / general supervisor and assume the duties of the laboratory general supervisor on a temporary basis when necessary. Must maintain appropriate quality control for all testing and performs all aspects of maintenance of laboratory analyzers. Maintains and performs the necessary skills to work as a laboratory assistant when required.
