Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is hiring a Laboratory Technician to support daily lab functions, including cleaning, preparation, extraction, and stocking supplies. The role involves standing for long periods and handling chemicals with strict adherence to SOPs and QA programs.

The first shift runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with training during the same hours. Basic English proficiency, a high school diploma, and US work authorization are required.

The Laboratory Technician assists in daily laboratory functions such as cleaning, preparation/extraction, and stocking laboratory supplies (as assigned) using standard techniques according to approved scientific methodology in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This position is a physical job that may require standing for long periods, working with chemicals, laboratory glassware and specialized equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows SOPs, written, and verbal instructions
• Performs routine laboratory cleaning
• Performs disposal of chemical waste using approved methods
• Keeps work area clean and organized
• Accurately enters data into LIMS
• Washes and inventories glassware and specialized equipment, may be asked to prepare equipment for shipping
• Responsible for keeping personal training documentation current and accurate
• Responsible for timely completion of assigned/scheduled QC samples (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT)
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Responsible for general housekeeping in work area
• Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment health and safety and quality assurance standards
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Assists in other areas of laboratory when needed
• May perform laboratory assistant responsibilities
• May prepare reagents and spikes as needed
• May perform extractions as needed
• Additional duties as assigned

This role is 1st shift, M‑F. Hours are 7am – 3:30pm. Training will be M‑F, 1st shift.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer skills
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

• Previous experience in a lab
• A good working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

Additional Information

Pay rate: $17.75/hour
