Job summary

ARL Bio Pharma is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its analytical and microbiological testing lab. The role involves supporting chemists and ensuring efficient testing of samples in a full-time capacity. No prior experience is required, with training provided.

You will work 9:00 am - 5:00 pm in a lab setting, with safety protocols and a casual dress code. The position offers a strong benefits package including medical and dental insurance and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Experience in a chemistry or analytical lab is preferred.
• Education options include HS diploma with experience, or degree in chemistry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS).
• Follow safety rules and instructions in performing duties.
• Prepare reagents, solutions and mobile phases for testing.
• Peer review of laboratory notebooks in a timely manner.
• Sample management including retrieval, storage and disposal.
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet team goals.
• Use PC applications for word processing, spreadsheets, email and databases.
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Prioritize and plan multiple tasks with varying deadlines.

Work Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Work Restrictions: Because of vital nature of this work, we do not allow medical marijuana cards and we do random drug testing on all of our employees.

Essential Functions

• Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS)
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing all assigned duties
• Follow written and oral instruction
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and mobile phases required for testing
• Perform timely peer review of laboratory notebooks
• Sample management including retrieval, storage, and disposal
• Work and think independently, yet share ideas and work towards team goals
• Use a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheets, email and database applications
• Express thoughts in a clear concise manner both orally and written
• Work to establish the ability to effectively prioritize and plan multiple work activities with varying deadlines and complexities
• Ability to wear, maintain, and properly use appropriate safety equipment, including, but not limited to eye protection, gloves, and lab coat

Position Requirements

• High School diploma with 2+ years working experience OR...
• Associate degree in chemistry or related science field OR...
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science field
• A minimum of an associate degree in chemistry or related science field is preferred but not required

This job operates in a laboratory environment.

Physical Demands

The role requires standing for prolonged periods of time; dexterity in fingers and hands to perform complex and precise manipulations; ability to walk and stoop; ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; see in the normal visual range including the ability to distinguish colors and shades and hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
