Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school.
• Licensed in NYS as Clinical Laboratory Technician.
• Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology.
• Hospital experience and weekends/holidays availability.
• One-year internship or equivalent hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform biochemical, microscopic, blood bank and bacteriological tests.
• Obtain data to support evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Job Details

The Medical Technician is responsible for performs a variety of clinical tests.

Responsibilities

Perform various biochemical, microscopic, blood bank and/or bacteriological tests to obtain data for use in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of disease

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school required.
• Licensed under the NYS Dept. of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technician required.
• Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology required.
• Hospital experience desired. Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• One-year internship at an accredited hospital or one year practical experience required

Salary Range

USD $38.55 - USD $53.97 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
