Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Missouri is seeking a Laboratory Technician with a focus on Sample Preparation. The role involves preparing standards and solutions, performing pH measurements, titrations, and related tasks, within a busy analytical chemistry lab environment.

The successful candidate will work in a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with a 8:00am–5:00pm shift, and will benefit from comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plan options, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry with 0-1 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Use the following instruments/techniques: Balances, pH meters, preparation of standard, reagent, and mobile phase solutions, preparation of dilutions,handling ofvolumetric glassware, centrifugation, lyophilization, and similar techniques.
• Perform the following types of testing / skills with minimal supervision: Handling volumetric glassware, recording test observations, preparing dilutions of/or reagents, samples, and standards, pH measurement, titrations, and similar skills.

Job Description

Our laboratory in Maryland Heights, Missouri provides organic chemistry testing specializing in investigative analytical chemistry. Examples of this includes evaluating the label claims of consumer products, reverse engineering pharmaceuticals/nutritional supplements, contaminant identification,determiningsources of off odors/flavors/colors, extractables andleachablesof consumer electronics, testing medical devices and much, much more.

Welookingfor a Laboratory Technicians with a focus on Sample Preparation. The skills and responsibilities include:

• Use the following instruments/techniques: Balances, pH meters, preparation of standard, reagent, and mobile phase solutions, preparation of dilutions,handling ofvolumetric glassware, centrifugation, lyophilization, and similar techniques.
• Perform the following types of testing / skills with minimal supervision: Handling volumetric glassware, recording test observations, preparing dilutions of/or reagents, samples, and standards, pH measurement, titrations, and similar skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationaryposition80% of the time.
• Ability to continuouslyoperatea personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
• Ability tooperatea keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
• Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensurean accurateexchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
• Ability to handle small and fragile devices with tweezersand /or fingers.
• Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)
• Must be willing and able to wear PPE such as hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, laboratory coat and/or any other devices or equipment that isrequired.
• Learn new tasks, remember processes,maintainfocus, complete tasks independently, maketimelydecisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, abilityto complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
• Ability to move equipment or items up to 50 lbs.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of St. Louis, MO are encouraged to apply.

Pay range is $25/h - $27/h depending on experience.
